Nijo-jo Castle, the former Imperial Villa

Nijo-jo Castle was originally built in 1603 by Tokugawa Ieyasu during his visits to Kyoto, the castle served as the residence for the shogun. The third shogun, Iemitsu, in 1626 relocated the remains of Fushimi Castle and expanded this Nijo-jo castle. The architecture built by Ieyasu and the paintings and sculptures owned by Iemitsu bring the ambiance from 400 years ago to the present. Visitors can feel the castle's original glory, including the magnificent Kara-mon Gate (a designated Important Cultural Property) and exclusive access to areas that are normally closed to the public, offering a memorable experience that makes the most of the castle's historic value and prestige. ​

The Kyoto National Museum established in 1897 and earns 120 years of history. The historic red brick Meiji Kotokan Hall completed in 1895, includes elements of Baroque architecture perform as exhibition hall.  Whilst the Heisei Chishinkan Wing built in 2014 has a modern structure and incorporates Japanese style arts throughout the building, it serves to hold receptions hall, there are also outdoor areas; the tea house and the garden.

The Keihanna Plaza, a core facility of the Keihanna MICE town, is located in Seika and Nishi-Kizu districts in the center of the Keihanna Science City.  Due to its unique location which lies between Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara, it earn a friendly direct access from Kansai International Airport via limousine buses and with hotel facility right next to the venue makes it convenient to hold an event.
